The pub is surrounded by housing and benefits from a canalside position on the Shropshire Union Canal, attracting both locals and visitors. The pub benefits from being one of three pubs found in an area of around 1,120 adults within a 10-minute walk time. The local customer base is made up of mature residents (44% retired), midlife carefree households, and some families with young children. Tourism is also significant, with around 30% of visitors travelling from 6-20 miles to reach the pub. The offer: The food currently makes up 19% of the pub’s total sales.
