Ideal Operator
We're looking for someone with a passion for food who can elevate the already high standards and excellent reputation that the Parrot & Punchbowl has. Although a destination food site, there is a potential to build on the drinks trade here which is driven by the beer garden in the summer, set in a scenic surrounding, and then the cosy, traditional pub feel in the winter.
Private Accommodation
The living accommodation is made up of a large double bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe. It has a large en-suite with shower over bath and airing cupboard with hot water tank. There is a large kitchen/living area which also has a small shower room. There is an additional room upstairs that is used as storage for the pub but could easily be a second bedroom or living room should alternative storage be found.
Regional Manager's Thoughts
The Parrot & Punchbowl is a charming village set in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. It already has an excellent reputation locally, and I am looking for the right, long-term operator to build on trade and make this destination site stand out on the map.
Surrounding Area
The small village of Aldringham lies just south of Leiston and north of Thorpeness and Aldeburgh. It's part of a rural and historically rich region, known for its picturesque landscapes and proximity to the Suffolk coast. Like much of Suffolk, Aldrinham has Saxon roots and is even mentioned in the Domesday book.
