Ideal Operator
The ideal operator would have experience in running a country pub with a good pub food offering, an interest in live music and the ability to make the pub the hub of the local community.
Private Accommodation
The private accommodation is located downstairs from the pub due to the pub being built on the hillside. It is split level with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the first level and a lounge, dining area and domestic kitchen on the second level. The second level also provides external access to a small enclosed private area.
Regional Manager's Thoughts
The current operators have, over the last few years, established The Red Lion as a good community local and a popular live entertainment venue. To grow the business further a new operator would benefit from introducing a good pub food offer as well as continuing with the already established trading style.
